The Friends of the Library value, support and champion the public library

Dear Friend,

We would like to take this opportunity to extend to you an invitation to join the Friends of the Hailey Public Library and our continuing effort in making the Hailey Public Library a place of excellence. In 1994, the Library opened its new doors on Main Street, becoming the cornerstone of the Hailey Town Square. Within the first year, patron registrations and circulation of materials doubled. The Library continues to grow as more and more people discover its valuable services and welcoming atmosphere.

The Friends of the Hailey Public Library is a group of enthusiastic volunteers who want the best library and help to make it just that! The Friends raise funds solely to benefit the library and make significant gifts to expand library collections, programs and services.

What do they do?

• Raise funds to purchase equipment and materials not available through the regular libray budget.
• Encourage community awareness by representing the library in your community.
• Help with library programs, open houses, special events, and public service projects.
• Sponsor special programs.
• Advocate for strong library support
• Book Donations - Your book donations are gladly accepted at the library. Any books that cannot be used by the library will be given to the Friends' to be sold at the yearly Book Sale. Your book donations are tax deductible.
• Book Sale - The Friends have a yearly book sale.
• Programs and Special Events - The Friends' sponsor informational and educational programs of special interest to the community which are presented during the year. They also conduct special events like the "Garden Tour".
